In the "Dengeki Bunko Aki no Namahousou Festival" event held today, Strike the Blood franchise staff announced a fourth season entitled "Strike the Blood IV". The fourth series will return to the OVA format and will begin distribution in 2020. It is confirmed that this fourth season will be available in 12 episodes. A promotional video was also published.
With a total of 12 episodes, the Strike the Blood franchise will market it in 6 home video releases. Where every release there are two episodes, the same as the second and third seasons. The release of the fourth season will take place on March 25, June 24, September 30, December 23, March 24, 2021, and June 30, 2021.
For the third season OVA entitled "Strike the Blood Kieta Seisouhen" will be distributed on January 29, 2020. A special screening for this third season OVA will be conducted on December 15, 2019. Limited tickets can be ordered through the official website. The opening song of the fourth season will be brought back by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rocket entitled "Kuro no Kaleid Blood". For the ending song, Taneda Risa brought back the song titled "Dear My Hero".

The previous OVA project, Strike the Blood III, ended on September 25, 2019 with a total of 10 episodes. This OVA was released since December 19, 2018 with the release per volume consisting of two episodes. OVA with this third season dressing tells three arcs including "Tartarus Rose", "Ōgon no hibi", and "Sinso taisen".

Hideyo Yamamoto was the director of this entire franchise. Hiroyuki Yoshino as supervisor and scriptwriter, while Keiichi Sano re-designed the character. Jin Aketagawa as the voice director at Magic Capsule. Assumed Sounds became a music composer.
The Strike the Blood franchise began its first season in October 2013 and aired in the format 2 cour. His first season got an OVA 2 episode which was released on November 25, 2015 and December 23, 2015 entitled "Strike the Blood: Valkuria no Oukoku-hen". The second season uses the OVA format with a total of 8 episodes and is distributed from November 2016 to May 2017. Studio Connect collaborates with Silver Link to produce both of these franchise seasons. Meanwhile Barnum's studio collaborated with the two studios for "Strike the Blood: Valkuria no Oukoku-hen".
Light novel Strike the Blood was launched by Gakuto Mikumo on May 10, 2011 using illustrations from Manyako. ASCII Media Works uses the Dengeki Bunko imprint as a label for this work. So far they have published 20 volumes plus two side stories since June 8, 2019. TATE then released its manga adaptation on June 27, 2012 in Dengeki Daioh magazine. This manga ended on December 27, 2016 with a total of 10 volumes.
